It circulated among scouts in Ho Chi Minh City as a comprehensive sports assessment, yet the only content was the phrase not enough information to evaluate, repeated many times. For ordinary readers, it seems like a waste of time. For a structural analyst, it is a useful signal. Grassroots table tennis in Vietnam does not lack players. It lacks standardized scouting reports. Every year, hundreds of small academies send students to local tournaments. The results are shared as score sheets, edited videos, and emotional articles. In that environment, an empty document can be more dangerous than a wrong one, because readers may mistake missing data for scientific caution. But it is not. Not enough information is a valid answer when there is no raw data. When the source has no title, no event, and no player name, every tactical claim is merely an illusion. Based on my years of watching young athletes, the real danger is not a report that misstates a few numbers. It is a report that uses old reputation to cover an empty data zone. A reliable youth development system must be studied like three layers of sediment. The first layer is learned technique, visible on video.
